Virginia has multiple different license Classes and Classifications. Licenses have a Class (Class A, B, or C) and also a Classification (RBC, CBC, CIC, DRY, etc).
The Virginia CBC Commercial Building Contractor license allows the builder to bid on, build, or modify any type or size of commercial, industrial, institutional, or modular construction projects.
Residential Building Contractors are those whose contracts include construction, remodeling, repair, improvement, removal, or demolition of real property owned, controlled or leased by another person, including dwellings and townhouses—as defined in the USBC—and accessory buildings or structures on such property.

The Georgia unlimited general contractor license allows for unlimited types of construction work, with no limit on project size, unlike limited tier licenses. To get a Georgia unlimited general contractor license, must be at least 21 years old and meet specific experience and education requirements, which include passing the NASCLA commercial trades exam and the Georgia Business Law exam. You must also submit an application with supporting documents like proof of a minimum net worth, general liability insurance, and a project management affidavit.

A licensed superintendent is responsible for ensuring that construction or demolition work is performed safely and in strict compliance with the NYC Building Code and approved plans.

The Alabama unlimited general contractor license is the state-level license that allows an individual or business to perform any type of commercial or residential construction work, as defined by the licensing board. It is a comprehensive license that differs from limited licenses, which restrict contractors to a specific trade or a smaller scope of work. An unlimited license holder can bid on and complete various types of residential projects, including those that affect structural integrity, and can also bid on commercial projects depending on the classification obtained.

The New Jersey contractor license allows for unlimited types of construction work, with no limit on project size.
